Decision:

(a)          Decision(s)

 

(1)  That the revised Constitution of Chilterns Crematorium Joint Committee be approved and adopted, subject to the agreement of the other constituent authorities.

 

(2)  That the Lead Legal and Monitoring Officer, after consultation with the relevant Cabinet Member, be given delegated authority to make any minor amendments that might be necessary.

 

(b)          Reason(s) for Decision(s)

 

To extend the Joint Committee’s powers to administer additional crematoria.  The opportunity has also been taken to incorporate provisions in relation to asset disposal and the sharing of surpluses on dissolution, which are not covered in the existing constitution.

None as such.

As the Council’s representatives on the Joint Committee, Councillors Ward and Mordue each declared a prejudicial interest and left the meeting whilst the matter was discussed.
